Malaysia is set to have a new and interesting Japanese restaurant under its wing as Harumi 23, the latest modern-innovative Japanese restaurant specialising in Tokyo Cuisine, is launching its first outlet in Plaza Arkadia located in the charming suburb of Desa ParkCity -bringing new Japanese dining experience to customers in the locality.

Guests at Harumi 23 will love the diverse collection of signature dishes made fresh from the highest quality ingredients, with signature dishes including Charcoal Grilled Kushiyaki and organic Japanese pork (grilled with real charcoal on a traditional Japanese yakitori grill), Harumi 23 Tempura (prepared with high-grade Japanese tempura flour and ice-cold water to ensure crisp and light texture), Tokyo Spaghetti (inspired by the flavourful spaghettis found in Japanese-style spaghetti specialty shops in Tokyo), authentic Japanese dashi soups (made by steeping Kombu (kelp) and Katsuoboshi (dried bonito flakes) at a carefully controlled temperature to release the inherent delicious umami flavours in the ingredients) and, not to forget for the sweet-toothed, Harumi 23’s homemade range of sweet and refreshing Tokyo desserts which include Rockmelon and Green Tea Kakigori, Harajuku Souffle Pancakes, Shibuya Dessert Toast and Yuzu Freeze. Another delight that visitors to the restaurant can expect is the innovative third wave coffee which has a lighter roast profile using single origin coffee beans of the highest quality imported from Nozy Coffee of Japan.

“We pride ourselves in only offering the best quality Japanese cuisine with the finest ingredients
imported directly from Japan. For example, our Sashimi is air-flown from Tsukiji Market in Tokyo twice a week, and the rice that we use are high-grade Koshi Hikari rice, planted and important from Japan where we find the quality better compared to others and giving our dishes a more robust flavor.”

Ms Yeap believes that great food can be found at any budget, and wants to convey the greatest food of Tokyo through the warm hospitality of Harumi 23, showing the notion of caring to its guests.
